Found within the north east of the country, Mpumalanga is home to close to three million people along with the most famous safari park worldwide; the Kruger National Park. Nevertheless, there is always a great deal more to Mpumalanga that Kruger national park.

This vast wilderness is comprised of an area as big as Israel and is also legendary for having the greatest assortment of wildlife varieties in Africa; 140 mammal species, 500 bird types and close to 300 tree species. Camp places and game lodges are all available.

Along side the borders of the park are quite a few private game reserves presenting 5-star safaris. These lodges give fantastic lodging and tend to be a lot less congested. Their safari trucks also can go off road something which is not authorized inside the national parks.

The province also is home to a section of the mighty UKlahlamba mountains and it is right here you can see the Blyde River Canyon. It's the third largest canyon in the world.
